Colette has been coaching 28 out of 30 years at Genesis and in 1999 became the owner. Her gymnastics career began in high school where her favorite event was the vault and her best score was 8.9. As a senior in high school in 1977, Colette ran the City of Palmdale’s gymnastics program when Genesis opened up and by 1980 they won their first state championship! Since then, the gym has produced many Sectional, State and Regional Champions.
Just as important to Colette are all of the recreational students who leave each day with a smile on their face and a healthier body. Genesis is a great gym because of the wonderful staff. She feels blessed to have the amazing coaches that work for her and who are such good role models for all of the hard working gymnasts. Because of them, Genesis is a special place for all gymnasts to come and train. Thank you staff!

Michelle is new to Genesis Gymnastics, but has been coaching gymnastics more than five years. Her love of gymnastics started at the very young age of 18 months! She competed into her teenage years, stopping at the age of fourteen. Her favorite event to compete was the floor and now she enjoys coaching the beam the most. For fun, Michelle likes to be outside riding on boards.. .snowboards, wakeboards and surfboards!

Robin’s gymnastic career started at age 7 and continued through her college days at San Diego State University. Competing as a Class 1 gymnast (equivalent to a current level 10) she qualified for the Junior Nationals. Her favorite event was the floor and her best score was 9.6. Robin has been coaching on and off during the past 23 years at Genesis and specializes in coaching beam and floor. Robin’s two loves besides her husband, are her sister Colette and riding her Harley.

Daniel started gymnastics at age 5 and has relatives that were circus acrobats in the 1940’s and ‘50’s in the south. He’s been coaching for 5 years at Genesis where he specializes in floor, vault, pommel horse and the mushroom. Daniel likes to dance, act on stage, go to the movies or anything that catches his attention or is sporty.
